Official data confirms that the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) has worked in Laayoune to enhance the city’s water supply by providing a flow of 26,000 cubic meters of drinking water per day from a seawater desalination plant.
The same office, in collaboration with various stakeholders in the sector, has undertaken several projects on a national level. These projects primarily aim to ensure the supply of potable water to the urban and rural population in both areas. The obtained data indicates that some of these projects have been operational since the year 2022.
